Insulin’s discovery in 1921 ignited a century of ground-breaking research and innovation at the University of Toronto and among our affiliated hospitals and industry partners that continues to offer Canadians and people around the world opportunities to realize healthier and more rewarding lives.

2021 will mark the 100th anniversary of the discovery of insulin. In support of the Insulin 100 celebration, U of T's Brand Hub has developed a logo for our partners and stakeholders to use in their efforts to generate excitement about this historic achievement and to amplify awareness of the game-changing research happening at U of T and our partner institutions.

The University has also developed the Insulin 100 website. The site tells the story of insulin’s life-saving discovery at U of T, highlights major advances in human health made by U of T and our partners over the past century, profiles game-changing research happening today at U of T, and features the latest news, information, resources and events related to insulin’s discovery and impact.

We invite you to make use of the website to promote the Insulin 100 celebration and to adopt and use the Insulin 100 logo as a symbol of our combined contributions to the discovery and development of insulin, and as a marker of our continuing impact on health care in Canada and globally. Additionally, we have created a number of tools and templates for use by our partners and developed some wonderful Insulin 100 merchandise in celebration of this momentous anniversary.

• Copy the email signature, including the image, and paste it into your email client’s signature form field.
• When adding a name, use all caps in Arial Bold.
• Ensure the font is 10 points in Arial Bold for names and 10 points in Arial Regular for all additional information.
• Divisions can add custom URLs and social media links below insulin100.utoronto.ca.
• You may need to make manual edits to ensure the signature appears as it does below.
